Chief Justice Gesmundo Swears in New Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Econg

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo administers the oath of office to Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice (PJ) Geraldine Faith A. Econg at the Supreme Court En Banc Session Hall on January 13, 2025.  With Sandiganbayan PJ Econg is her husband, Stanley Chona.

PJ Econg is the Sandiganbayan’s 11th Presiding Justice. She was appointed to the anti-graft court in 2016 as its 60th Associate Justice. She also previously served as Presiding Judge of Branch 9, Regional Trial Court, Cebu City.

She earned her law degree, cum  laude, from the University of San Carlos, Cebu.
