Man killed in neck stabbing identified by medical examiner

San Antonio police are investigating a fatal stabbing incident that left a 34-year-old man dead in a residential neighborhood.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified the victim Ray Hardy and confirmed that he died from a stab wound to the neck.

Emergency services responded to calls from neighbors who reported a disturbance in the early hours. Officers found the man lying on the ground with a visible stab wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Police are interviewing potential witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from the area. Several leads are being followed, but no arrests have been made.

Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the Houston Police Department. Officers are conducting interviews and analyzing evidence collected from the scene to aid the investigation.

The victim’s family has been notified, though they have not released a public statement.
